Two Wheels Just Aren’t Enough

Thunder Road and the Thunderdome are looking for people who may be interested in showing off their trike. Plans are well underway to host “Trike Wars 2008 – The Battle of Three” trikes only show at the Thunderdome on Sunday, August 3. 

hopes there will be enough interest from the general public to draw a large number of trikes.  “With the increasing number of bikers now moving into the trike world, I thought it would be a breath of fresh air to showcase the trike.  We’ve seen the choppers and custom two-wheeled bikes, but I’ve never seen a trike show during Sturgis Bike Week.  So, that’s what I am going to do.”

For a minimal entry fee, anyone can enter their trike in the show, which will be held inside the Thunderdome east of Sturgis.  There will be a limited number of entries allowed due to space constraints and registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Since plans are still in preliminary staging, it is unsure who will judge the show or what the prizes will be.  The Thunderdome and Thunder Road will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
