Michael Lichter’s Motorcycle-As-Art Exhibit, “Stay Gold,” in the Thunderdome daily, 9 am to 7 pm, August 1-8. The exhibit focuses on garage builders and artists who maybe haven’t seen much or any of the limelight but still produce breathtakingly detailed work in the same spirit as the late Johnny Chop.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Roadhouse Celebrity Bike Tour, daily, 10 am-6 pm, in the Thunderdome, August 1-8. It’s the hub of excitement where bike builders hang out, where television and movie filming takes place, where rock n roll bikers like Steven Tyler pop in for a visit. Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse showcases some of the hottest motorcycles on the road, and the Michael Lichter photography on the Hard Rock Wall of Fame pays tribute to the best builders of today and yesterday.
Strokers Sturgis, a little slice of Dallas in the heart of the Thunderdome, 11 am-7 pm, August 1-8. Master Builder, radio host, entrepreneur and star of the Speed Channel's former “Texas Hardtails” series, Rick will again bring a badlands version of Strokers Dallas to the Thunderdome. Combine ice-cold beer, hotter-than-hot babes, and a bunch of customs from the one of the world's top master builders, and you have one of the coolest joints in Sturgis.

The Girls of Sturgis Bike Week and Miss Sturgis, will autograph free calendars, 1-4 pm, August 3-8.
H2Ocean Art Fusion - Thunder Road will also be home to some of the top names of the tattoo industry. H2Ocean Art Fusion will take place throughout the week. On Wednesday Ami James of “Miami Ink” will be hosting “Art of Tattoo” tattoo contest.
Cope Chop Shop featuring Eric Georges of Voodoo Choppers will be at the main entrance to Thunder Road daily, from August 1-8.
Bike Shows:
For six years running, Thunder Road has become famous as the place to go for anything custom in Sturgis. This year’s bike show schedule combines some of Thunder Road’s favorite custom names with some new ones:
Sunday, August 3rd is the return Trike Wars: The Battle of Three Trike and Sidecar Show, sponsored by Lehman Trikes. This year the addition of sidecars will allow absolutely anything on three wheels to participate, so expect the unexpected.
Monday, August 4th will be the 2ndAnnual THE HORSE Backstreet Choppers Sturgis Bike Showwith some of the best garage bikes in the country. There will be guest celebrity judges, door prizes and giveaways all day. Add in the burnout pit, live music and crazy contests and you have a day packed with wild, crazy fun.
Tuesday, August 5th marks the prestigious 6th Annual Metzeler Custom Bike Contest. This is the industry’s best V-Twin custom builder competition with incredible guest judges and one-of-a-kind prizes.
Wednesday, August 6th is the brand spanking new Dave Perewitz Custom Paint Bike Show, sponsored by PPG. The focus is paint – both on bikes and bodies when Ami James hosts the “Art of Tattoo” tattoo contest where you can participate and show off your ink.
Thursday, August 7th Rat’s Hole will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in Sturgis. The Granddaddy of ’em all has more bikes and more trophies than any other show in Sturgis.
Friday, August 8th will close out the week with a bang when the Bikernet Brouhaha hits Sturgis. There will be a full day of bike show, tattoo competitions, wet t-shirt contests, spoofs, bands, wild entertainment, girl contests and all-around Bikernet madness.
